The Repair Cell Production Manager will be responsible for customer interaction, planning, directing and coordinating the Repair activities and resources necessary to meet or exceed established sales and cost goals. Monitor and lead team activities that ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targets. Direct interface with Customers, Quality, Purchasing and Human Resources as the Repair Value Stream representative to identify and resolve issues in order to maintain expectations. A focus on transformation and lean manufacturing skills is required.

Job Description

  • Provides leadership and direction to the Repair team. Direct supervisor for the Repair Coordinator hourly associates in the Repair value stream.
  • Monitors and leads team activities that ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
  • Plans and monitors repair operations for schedule attainment and efficiency.
  • Works directly with customers to quote, schedule, repair and ship orders.
  • Leads and hourly personnel and problem resolution, consulting with Human Resources as needed.
  • Develops and executes weekly plans in support of revenue expectations and implements corrective actions if plans are not being met.
  • Partner with customers to provide acceptable level of tracking of units through the process.
  • Performs metric tracking, problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Oversees areas or Repair such as safety, planning, cost, efficiency, quality, and customer service.
  • Optimizes use of plant resources to complete tasks assigned.
  • Maintain compliance of company policies, safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor plant performance and manufacturing and quality costs.
  • Develop/Implement action plans to understand and address areas of concern.
  • Performs all other duties as required, requested or needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Supervision, or Engineering Technology discipline.
  • 8+ years prior manufacturing experience which includes first line supervision of hourly staff and direct supervision of salaried staff.
  • Extensive knowledge or certification in lean manufacturing
  • Prior experience in managing or working within a repair value stream
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Lean manufacturing and transformation proven skills
  • High skill level in Microsoft office
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Systems
  • Proven experience in the application of lean manufacturing principles
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently on project assignments.
  • Flexible working hours to meet business needs.
  • Safety conscious and able to apply methodologies to improve processes.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • High level of interpersonal skills
