Job/Internship Description

Position Description:

The Marketing Intern works with the Marketing and Client Development teams on various tasks primarily related to graphic design, internal and external communications, public relations, social media, marketing collateral development and CRM systems. This internship is ideal for someone looking to deepen their understanding of business strategies and gain substantial experience in the construction industry's marketing and sales sector.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist with producing proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to support our business development efforts
  • Engage in graphic production and content development for marketing materials, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and standards
  • Gain proficiency in the Cosential by Unanet CRM system with a dual focus on sales and marketing functions:
    • Sales: Conduct research and update the database with customer-related data, pursuit details, client contacts, and opportunity updates
    • Marketing: Write and update project descriptions, manage staff resumes, and engage in other marketing-related activities
  • Assist with digital asset management and contribute to social media marketing strategies
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities to support the marketing team's objectives
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with company employees, clients, and vendors
  • Provide regular status reports to supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in college or university with accredited degree program in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in proofreading
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and eager to learn and engage in new tasks
  • Able to quickly learn and process information, take direction, follow tasks through to completion, and work in deadline-driven and team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Flexible to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Reliable transportation and is willing to travel as required
