POSITION TITLE: Intern-Support - Project Management Intern (Planning, Construction, or Design)
POSITION SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity for an intern to join Scripps Research's Facilities Planning, Design & Construction (FPD&C) team in La Jolla, California, home to some of the world's most innovative scientists. This internship is the perfect opportunity for you to learn what it takes to support design initiatives, construction projects and maintain plans and records for a world-renowned Biomedical Research institute consisting of 800K+ square feet of owned and leased, scientific and administrative buildings.
We are seeking a motivated and talented individual who is eager to learn, willing to work hard, absorb information and put it to practical use. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prioritize, multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and function in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be able to read, understand, and organize blueprints, floorplans, specifications, and closeout packages. This internship will provide invaluable real-world feedback, work experience, and on the job training, while developing and demonstrating your skills as an individual and as part of the team.
